SHOWCASE

Liverpool Theatre School engages experts from within the world of Musical Theatre to ensure the quality of your training is of the highest standard. These experts include residential, full and part time staff as well as visiting guest directors and performers who give weekly master classes. Visiting agents and employers often hold auditions at the School.

The training will be gruelling, testing and exhaustive but also a lot of fun, with many hours focussed on attention to detail as you prepare for your career - but as an Ofsted report recently commented, we are also very friendly!

Awards and Scholarships

Liverpool Theatre School has places available each year on the Governments Dance and Drama Award (DaDa) scheme. Awards places are allocated based on talent. As per Government guidelines a parental contribution is required and is subject to income assessment through the, fees and maintenance fund.

LTS Scholarships are also available so that talented students are not penalised due to their financial circumstances.

Principals & Teaching Staff


Miss Maxine Ellis has a varied career which include work in Europe and the Americas. Maxine is a director of M.D.I. Member of The IDTA has worked with The Arts Council with bid applications and The DFES as a member of its finance committee. Miss Maxine teaches, choreographs shows, corporate events and pantomimes in the UK.

Miss Norah Button has a performance career spanning 45 years, is a winner of The Carl Allen award for her services to the Performance Industry; Fellow of The IDTA, Director if E.Q. (a body researching the performing arts employment world); an examiner for The OCR Awarding Body. Miss Norah Button is also a Director, Producer and teacher.
